: It's a sound explanation, in a way, but it's hard to believe anyone would be : able to survive the blast. Unless the scene where Six enters the cruiser : was flash-forwarded and it actually took some time for him to reach the : room where he drops the nuke, allowing the rest of the team to escape on a : dropship or something. Something that I believe has been mentioned before in a similar scenario in Halo history...but if not here's a theory: If you think about it, the bomb is being detonated inside a Covie cruiser with its shields currently up. You see the shields affected as the bomb explodes, but I'd imagine that explosion is rebounded within the cruiser for a few seconds before the shields dissipate, shortening the blast radius quite considerably.
