In the screenshot I'm using the home replacement app LauncherPro (ADW Launcher should work too) with its customizable dock, and the custom shortcut app Desktop Visualizer. With LP just long press on an icon to change it; DV is pretty self-explanatory once you start it up. After unzipping the file, you can choose any icons from the phone's Gallery through these two programs.
