If you don't have rockets, just keep chipping away at it with : small arms fire and it'll go down. Then again, the Banshee's weapons were : stronger in the beta than in Halo 3 (and it didn't even have the FRC in : Halo 2), so it might still be too much firepower to have on a map of that : size. Another thing to think about its forge world the map is huge! they may have thought instead of putting loads of soft or hard kill zones into the map it was better to leave it out altogether. Plus the banshee never really brought anything to the map on Halo2.
