In Response To: Epsilon Afterglow panorama *IMGs* (RVideo)

I wish I had more time to make more than one a week/month/year, but it seems like I never have much free time.

tl;dr warning
Anyways, someone mentioned to me on AIM that they noticed I shifted the chroma a bit into the red spectrum (just a sliver.) I did this b/c Epsilon Eridani is a somewhat cooler (meaning "more red") main sequence star than our Sun. Although Bungie's artists tend to deipict Reach with green-brown atmospherics, if Reach were a real planet, the star and it's light would cast a subtle red overtone across the surface of Reach, much like our Sun casts white-yellow overtones. As well, if any "forests" existed on Reach if it were a real planet, the leaves would probably be yellow, approaching orange, not green.
See xanthophylls
Also carotenoid

Hypothetically, indigneous plant life for any alien system would be optimized to absorb the light of their parent Star.

Aside from the chromatic issues, Boneyard is a very interesting, believable and enjoyable alien-scape to check out. They say that one of the hardest jobs in science fiction is to "flesh out" an alien world, and they are right. Unlike other fictional genres, you have to do it from the ground up. A very difficult task, to be sure!

/tl;dr warning

: Detail panorama of a scene that is pretty far away from the main stage of
: Boneyard.
: Image location is temporary. Please right-click and save if you want it
: permanently.
: Epsilon Afterglow
: [ local now - and permanent. -lwu ]

: Also, as a special bonus, a singe-shot top down of Boneyard. After 5 attempts
: at making a mega-panorama (and failing) of the gameplay area, I gave up
: and settled for this one, which I believe is the only image of the entire
: Boneyard stage anywhere. If Bungie has made a top-down, then I haven't
: seen it yet.

: If anyone wants to edit it by adding locations, please help yourself.
