Hypothetically, indigneous plant life for any alien system would be optimized to absorb the light of their parent Star. Aside from the chromatic issues, Boneyard is a very interesting, believable and enjoyable alien-scape to check out. They say that one of the hardest jobs in science fiction is to "flesh out" an alien world, and they are right. Unlike other fictional genres, you have to do it from the ground up.
