In Response To: More than a game. (Seraph XXVII) Seraph, I read your post after being linked to it by ICDedPpl, and I must say I am inspired and utterly grateful to you. This message is both for you, and for Dan and Aimee. After reading your post, I made this profile just because I needed to say thank you. My secondary reason for this thanks is because, in light of the horrors that flood the news and infiltrate the hopes that spring from the few kind acts that make it to the mainstream, this selfless endeavor rekindled my flickering, optimistic hopes for the species. My primary reason though, is that Dan and Aimee are my family, and their pain is my pain. After hearing about Aimee's condition and the success of her operation, I knew the worst had not necessarily come to pass, and so I was still concerned for them, as I love them both. I won't babble on too long, as I'm sure nobody wants to hear the whole sob story, but I wanted to say thank you so much, Seraph, for your bold selflessness. As a fellow collector, though of other trinkets, I can truly appreciate how hard it is to part with that which you spent so much time, effort, and money to collect. Thanks again, Seraph, and god bless. | |
