In Response To: Re: Dancing Spartan Parade (gspawn) The mummers are a goofy group in Philadelphia, but once a year they put on a heck of a show. It's more an opportunity for them to be creative and have fun, but as this community now can see, it sometimes just gets bizarre. That's why we love the mummers. It's not really a Mardi Gras thing, except in that odd aesthetic. I miss Philly. (Chicago is nice, but Philadelphian's have an odd pride.) : Intel I've gathered suggests it's like a Mardi Gras type thing, only : lower-class. Or something.
