People are saying that they are too big, but if you look at them you can tell that they aren't regular hunters. They don't have the shield or the gun. They're basically like giant weaponless versions of regular hunters, probably the product of one colony, since a single colony is split in two to make bonded mates. I can see them as being used as siege weapons.
