Actually, on my first ODST play I ignored the people barking orders at me as I don't much like game entities telling me what to do. "Take a hike!" I said, "I'm busy shooting covies". I tried to hold my ground for a while but I was playing on Heroic and got forced back. As it turned out, the bridge blew anyway - so hey, they didn't need me after all! I missed the explosion though - didn't even realize it was happening because I was busy looking around for more ammo back near the sandbagging, and it's not as if there wasn't already a lot of loud banging going on. I turned back after a bit and… hey, where'd the bridge go? Hee hee… I really should've had another go at those covies later, but never got around to it until One One Seven got me back on track.
