I thought Crow's Nest was only a quickly retrofitted temoporary base. She's the most senior Naval officer present. Why wouldn't she be in command? I realize she's a trained ship captain, but she can still be the one in charge in Crow's Nest, no? I guess I'm not seing the problem.

As to Half-Jaw, you seem to be attributing human military doctrine to an alien species. Why can't a Spec Ops soldier command a ship??
