I was very happy with how ODST ended. While I was progressing through the game, I felt very connected with the ODSTs, more so than with the Chief. Although someone spoiled this for me a week or two before the game launched, I loved escorting Virgil to safety. The Engineers are most certainly my new favorite characters. I really thought they were interesting in the novels, but seeing them for the first time (Halo 1 excluded) was absolutely amazing.

Can't wait for the sequel. :)
