I can definitely see where one would think the : narration seems unfinished, especially if they read a lot of comics and : are used to the boxed narratiion that's traditionally used. I had wanted : to try a little different approach and see how successful that was, and I : also find it very hard to cover up my art with big blocky boxes! Even the : speech bubbles kill me... Maybe that's why the artist isn't usually the : letterer! :D I think a different font, or some sort of effect could give it a sense of belonging, without the box. But I totally understand the desire to minimize interference with the art. :)
