The M6D, Honour Guard Plasma Rifle and guided Rocket Launcher. I think he's confirmed previously that the M6D ain't staging a comeback so unless he's really talking up the Red Plasma Rifle, I honestly can't see what could possibly be "returning". The guided RL- that seems most likely as generously throwing the godly Spartan Laser around might kill the "lone ODST in a dark city" feeling I assume they are going for. Maybe... just maybe... he's talking about existing weapons be *significantly* rejigged. Think about it. The Rookie can't dual wield. So perhaps weapons like the Plasma Rifle are going to be boosted. I mean, seriously, elevated to the position of AR counterpart. Think Halo 1. Who wouldn't want the Combat Evolved Plasma and Assault Rifles to make a return, in all their freezing-impact and 60 round clip glory? But his comments refer to the time period, and bringing H1 style weapons in the name of it being a H2 era game doesn't really add up. In likelihood, he probably is talking the return of HG Plasma Rifle and a guided RL. Other than that - and I don't mean this as a discredit to Bungie's work - I don't think we should expect a significant rejigging of the weapons in line with Halo 1 single-wield-only gameplay mechanics. Of course, if Bungie want to prove me wrong, by all means, please go ahead guys. ;)
