Over time, she softened on the big lug, especially after noticing how much he cares for those around him." - the article. So then they fall in love, and when the war is over they get married. But, Forge continues his bad boy ways, coming home drunk, and occasionally smacking our poor professor around. She clings to him though, because he has a good heart inside, and she wants to stay with him for the sake of the kids. So, she stays with him in a codependent relationship for many years, tolerating his excessive alcohol use and sexual escapades, wondering where it all went wrong, and why she didn't go out with Jonas, the lab technician instead. Geez Halo wars, way to be depressing!
