In Response To: Halo Trek: just say yes (BlueNinja) : Enjoy. :) I certainly did! You managed to make me excited for both the Star Trek movie and a Halo movie, if it ever gets made. Nice choice of using Arbiter for Kirk and Chief for Spock, that seemed to fit really well. I also liked the use of Rtas at the end. :D And I say yes to this too... as far as I can tell, JJ Abrams is going to do some amazing film making by getting at the core of what makes the Trek mythos so amazing: the potential of humanity to do amazingly positive things. Captain Pike's voice over into in the trailer gets me EVERY time. This isn't just wild fanboy hope either, a close friend of mine writes for American Cinematographer, a major magazine in LA, and saw about 15 minutes of the film at a press screening. He's doing the cover story for his magazine. He said it's the movie he is MOST looking forward to this year. Coming from him, that's saying A LOT.
