Just because the Monitor couldn't access the information doesn't mean it isn't there. : -Halo: how do Flood dispersal pods drop from the sky? : -Halo: how does Johnson's Warthog get to where it is? He would have had to : make jumps from the opposite direction of the ramps. The ring is falling apart as you start driving towards FUD. My guess is that there was a complete path from the ship to the door. The real question becomes, why did Johnson park so gorram far away?
