Couldn't/wouldn't she go into...."screensaver" mode? Like, shut down until she gets a response from her beacon? She is plugged into a dead ship that she already knows about, so there is nothing left to learn. All the info she has on the halo array could just be saved and put away. So couldn't she theoretically life forever?
