OK, we get the picture, but guess what? HALO will *still* sell an absurd amount of copies. It and DOA3 are the system sellers. When people see the game, they will want it - and get it by any means necessary. Do you really think an ESRB rating and a game clerk are going to keep a rabid 14 yr old game fan from getting his fix? I don't think so. If that 14 yr old is smart enough to procure enough scratch to afford the xbox in the first place, i'm sure he can come up with a way to get a hold of an M rated game. And i'm not 100% sure how the rating is implemented but i thought it was for a parent's guide only, and not something gamestores use to restrict sales to younger gamers. Anyways, when I decided to buy the DreamCast, I wanted to buy THE BEST game that was available for it. I asked around and did some research and Soul Calibur kept coming up at the top of the list so it was the first game i bought. That's what's gonna end up happening with Xbox - kid comes into store, kid asks game clerk what best game for Xbox is, game clerk says "well, i wouldn't get Xbox personally, but i people are saying DOA3 and HALO are the two best games for the system", kid gets those games. It might affect sales but not substantially.
