That scene (the True Lies scene) was a total rip-off of a scene out of John Badham's 1983 'Blue Thunder', a movie about an urban attack helicopter starring Roy Scheider. There's a bridge scene in that movie where the copter comes up slowly over the edge of the bridge... True Lies either was tipping the hat, or stealing outright. (Not clear which.)

Badham is better known for 'Wargames' (and a whole lot of recent, crappy movies).
