The box is THE most important thing (bar the game)

Always put on good screenshots... not just the "average" screenshot, but the best. I hate looking at boxes that show crap screenshots but are actually good games (like Elite Force and Unreal Tournament). Also, you probably don't want to show the main "green marine" on the front... it should just be a style (ala Half-Life). Half-Life (and it's various addons) never showed anything, just a style [and a symbol]. I bought Half-Life without knowing ANYTHING about if before hand because it had a nice box with good screenshots. I think a better idea would be either the ring of Halo (a nice sized picture of it) or just a blank (patterned or plain black) box with Halo written in the "Halo" text. PS - Don't put on a ludicrous "recommended spec", like Kingpin did. It said a 400 with 128RAM which, at the time, was amazingly high. The equivilant now-a-days would be saying an 1ghz with 512RAM (RAM being so cheap and all). Loads of people have that spec I'm sure, but it will jst put off the average user. -mortensenj
