There are indeed Hunters in Halo. That is, indeed, a Hunter from Halo. However, I believe that Covenant Hunters and Pfhor Hunters are quite different.
exhibit a) Looks. Covenant hunters are far less upright and skinny.
b) Kickass ability. It would seem that the Covie Hunters can take just about anything on and win. According to a certainly unnamed Bungie employee, even Jet Li in a tank would be slaughtered ruthlessly by a Hunter. According to this same employee, however...Jackie Chan in a tank would put up an 'interesting' fight.
