questions about Halo's development

i guess this can apply to most games in general... 1) when would halo have to be completed (is this what they mean be going "gold") in order to start packaging copies and distributing them to stores? 2) can we assume that the packaging for halo is complete or nearly complete (i.e. boxes, manuals, etc.) and isnt a function of the game being complete? 3) is microsoft responsible for shelf space and store relations, or is bungie? 4) how many copies do u think will be made? does anybody know bungie's sales target?
