: -Cunbelin If they breathed something that was liquid in "normal environments" but a gas where they came from then they would have to come from a hotter environment. Things become gaseous at higher not lower temperatures (eg water turns to steam as you heat it) or with a much lower atmospheric pressure as this also alters "boiling" points (water boils at a lower temperature at the top of Everest)
