In Response To: No, up to a point, then yes (Jillybean) : I think that your theory falls down when it comes to the small parts. One : spore could not possibly contain the intelligence of the whole Flood. I : doubt one spore contains the intelligence of a combat form. To me spores : are mindless. In fact, I've said before, I don't think even Gravemind : controls the spores. I reckon spores pick up on signals from command forms : which are instructed by the Gravemind. Unless you define a spore as a sub-flood entity, and not part of the compound mind at all. In which case the theory, further backed by what was discussed by a gravemind in the terminal dialogues, is still true. When it get's a host, it changes the host into flood, thereby becoming flood and joining the compound mind. I think spores might receive "consensus" instructions, as evidenced by the level in Halo 3 where the flood changes allegiances. The spores don't go for you until it's TIME to go for you. I don't think a command form would be needed, the flood's compound intelligence might inform it of potential vectors through phermones given off by the other flood in the area.
