I think that in-game evidence in Halo 3 : suggests that the compound mind, Gravemind, persists even after its : physical form is destroyed. Heck, we don't even know if that physical form : is anything more than a mouthpiece. : Killing large numbers of Flood is probably the only way to actually damage : the Gravemind. So, given that logic, shouldn't we have destroyed the Gravemind once and for all during the Library? xD
