There's a trick to getting the camera through invisible walls if you can position the camera between the wall and some object that passes through it. In this case, when I shot the sniper tower, the top part came loose and flew up just past the barrier. So I put the camera, with its back against the barrier, in the path that the top part was taking, and ran the "film" at low speed. Slowly the camera got pushed through, so I could more closely follow our little grunty friend.
