In Response To: The OMRA (trigger119) : Today I am rolling something out CROSSFIRE and myself have been working on : for awhile(well, mostly CROSSFIRE). It's the Online Machinima Rating : Association, a system of rating the content of machinima videos. Basically : it's the equivalent of the MPAA, minus the idiocy. Read on for the full : scoop and FAQ. Wait... folks rate their own machinima? And you're expecting this to be 'without the idiocy' of the MPAA? How's that gonna work? :) I'll bet you decent money that TONS of people will rate their movie E even though they're full of foul language. And so on. This makes very little sense to me. Rating systems, in general, work (or don't work) in direct correlation to the objectivity of those doing the rating. If people are putting labels on their own work, objectivity is out the window. Am I missing something?
