I've been thinking of doing this, and I now hope to do it some time over the next few days when I've got the chance to.

To sum it up REAL quick, you take a few screen shots in a circle (that Ark picture used 8... they have to be "connected" and overlap a little) and then use the Photomerge feature in Photoshop CS3 (File >> Automate >> Photomerge).
