The Mac/PC version is nothing to scoff at. You can play all the countless third party scenarios, and it's not hard to find texture packs to make everything shiny and high res. And it's all delightfully free.

That said, I adore the X360 version. I'm so much more comfortable playing FPS's with a controller than with a mouse and keyboard (that's Halo's fault, by the way) so it's just awesome. And in the options screen, there is a place for "Content Packs" so I'm hoping for more single player/co-op campaigns.

Yeah, the IGN review was lame. It seemed to me like the guy didn't really bother to read the terminals ("Reading? In a game? Man, I hate books!") based on the fact that he got the plot summary wrong. Stopping aliens from invading Earth is Halo's plot, not Marathon.

Ok, now I have to try to figure out the Vidmaster Achievement.
