In Response To: New Halo 3 shots (KookyBastard) : Hey guys, I was looking around the Gearbox forums and I stumbled across these : images in the "Halo 3 Beta Info" thread. Apparently they are : from a powerpoint presentation made last year, and it shows of Bungie's : way of HDR lighting. What I noticed about the shots, other than that the : HDR lighting is beautiful, is that the warthog model and spartan model are : Halo 3 assets, while the Zanzibar map seems to be from Halo 2. : : My totally random guess, this was when they first decided to play on zanzibar, and they simply imported the H2 map, and maybe used it as a big testing field for these neat touches. And it's amazing what the lighting will do. Going back to the trailer, vs. the most recent leak, that's the biggest difference. Hopefully we get that nice HDR when we get the Beta. Char
