This is all that's left of my pants | |

In Response To: "They fled, as we set fire to their pants" (Jordan117) : Sgt. Johnson: "We got Jackals in the pants!" Ooh, nasty. Gotta say, H2 sounds a whole lot more amusing with all those pants references inserted. Of course, some of us thought H2 actually WAS pants in the first place, ho ho. If only Bungie would care to re-release the game with newly adjusted dialogue, I might even give it a fresh try! I never could take those pompous Elites seriously, but with all the pants talk I wouldn't have to. Meanwhile here's a pantified offering from from Sergeant Johnson in H1's AOTCR: "That's the last of 'em - area secure. Stand down team! (pause) They did their damnedest that's for sure. This is all that's left of my pants. The Covenant are down here in FORCE and they brought plenty of toys. I wouldn't have given us a snowball's chance until YOU showed up Chief." (See here at my site for the original speech) P.S: Are we talking American pants here, or British pants? It makes a bit of a difference when it comes to the visualization. Here in the UK, pants are an item of underwear - possibly 'briefs' in US lingo? But I'm aware that in the USA pants are what WE call trousers. What's up with that anyway? Wasn't the word trousers good enough for you yanks? Huh, always messin' wit da language. And don't even get me STARTED on how you spell 'through'. Sheesh.
