No offense whatsoever intended to anyone, but you guys are making a way bigger deal out of this than need be.

Back when #HBO was still on the Subnova servers (before officially being called IBO) I found that my handle (Wintermute) was already taken by Gawyn, one of the ops. I decided on an overall change, and all it took was one post in the forums that said "I am hereby Malagate", or something to that effect, and that was that. The only discrepancy that lingers is that my GT is spelled with an actual lower-case L, while everywhere else it's a 1, and that's only because of a retarded mistake on my part. But it stuck.
