In Response To: Libertyville Halo Theme Re-recording (Eastbeast314)

From a digg comment here: http://www.digg.com/videos/gaming/HALO_THEME_LIVE_In_studio_video_2

"They didn't play "over" any prerecorded video. I was recording video of their entire "audio" recording session. Because they did not play with a click track, each "take" was a little different in timing and improvisation, and the "audio" portion of the live video recording had only drums on it (since all of the rest of the instruments were going straight to tracks in Sonar and they were listening to each other thru headphones). When Dave made this video of their recording session, he used video snippets from all of their takes, even though the actual posted audio recording was their last take. The scene you see of Dave V (guitarist), Hanah (violinist) and Dave B (percussionist) was the actual video of the audio take that they kept. All other video was laid in over the audio track and synced up as best as possible. This is ALL their original arrangement and performance."
