Well, I think that if it's to symbolize an end of a mathematical proof, a filled, square box would be more appropriate. It stands for Q.E.D, quod erat demonstrandum; however, I really think that, given the lack of any real mathematical proof, neither applies quite well here. Since it's stated as an assumption and not proven, it then begs the question that Pratch has already asked: Therefore what?
