They really do make nice armor. I think Industrial Illusions (or whoever worked on the original Star Wars trilogy) used ABS too, but I don't know where I'm getting that info from. On a side note, LEGO uses ABS for their bricks because it's very rigid and a lot of friction, despite the silky-smoothness (although the rough pieces seem to have less friction, but those are typically angled so gravity affects whatever piece is on top more (which is virtually impossible)).

ABS is some high quality material.
