In Response To: Re: The Heretic Teaser (reagan64 On Vacation)
: What's the difference between a teaser trailer and a plain trailer?
A teaser isn't intended to tell anything other than the fact that the movie is being made. It is much shorter than a trailer and it doesn't really tell story or introduce characters. For example: the teaser to the DaVinci Code showed a very cool fly by shot of the what appeared to be a canyon but as the camera pulled way back it revealed itself to be an ultra close-up shot of paint on the canvas of ( I think) the Mona Lisa. Anyway, the point it that a trailer tells a little bit of the story, maybe introduces some main characters but a teaser just says "hey, be watching for this flick".
