Re: Too Big | |

In Response To: Too Big (Wiley) I really don't think this ship is any sort of small fighter, or boarding craft. It's depiction is too big. It's pretty much equal in size to the CCS class ship, and we know those are pretty big. I say it's another class of cruiser altogether. The CCS class ships are probably the dogfighters of the Covenant navy, engaging Human cruisers and destroyers. The squat profile of this other vessel suggests it's not specifically designed for that kind of fighting. I'm thinking it's a carrier of some kind. The height of the vessel would allow for more decks than the CCS class, which in turn, could allow for better storage of single ships, and landing craft. Perhaps the boarding parties on the Autumn came from this ship. I'm also of the opinion that these ship diagrams are not blown up images of the triangles, but actually two completely seperate Covenant vessels currently engaging the Pillar of Autumn. I feel that the smaller triangles are representations of escorting strikecraft. Why else would there be four small green triangles around the Pillar of Autumn? Certainly she wasn't accompanied by other Human cruisers, so I conjecture that they are Longsword interceptors acting as escorts. This assumption logically leads to the belief that the Covenant triangles are also escorts of some kind. Probably Seraphs. |
