Yes, that scene right there I was like "wha...holy bejeezus!" I have always had a very akward feeling about the Halo movie: how will the characters translate to being real? I'm sorry but the nightmare armor wouldn't cut it for the production...I diddn't know if a totally realstic looking MC would look very...good. The suspension of disbelief, the acceptance of 'inferior' graphics (well really they are GREAT for a game, but not cinematic quality) for the first and second Halo means that our idea of what a real-life Spartan is like will be skewed into the somewhat cartoony world of the Halo Game. Even the spartan model in DOA 4 is flawed somewhat as opposed to what a real life suit might look like in lighting and minute details (like cells in the black of the armor and such are still only textures on the model because you can't have a couple thousand polygons for each glove. Also as an effect I'd assume at close-close inspection a slight shimmer/wave effect from the shields would distort the spartan) Regardless, at moments I would say your video gave me thoughts of final fantasy advent children in it's quality. I love the camera squint at the beginning, it's sublte but soo important to presenting the mood. As with using that song. | |
