Yup. Microsoft just HATED having Bungie crank out the most successful videogame launch ever in the history of consoles, and they're completely thankless for having Halo keep the Xbox going through much of its lifespan. That was just terrible. I mean why would they ever want to retain control of property that almost single-handedly pushed Xbox into profit for the first time since the project began? It just doesn't make sense!
But after playing Stubbs, yes I'm sure Wideload could crank out Halo 3 and do it well. Love that game. Especially if they partnered with Bungie, as suggested. Instead of "contracting", they could send the work to the mother company. Interesting. And MMO games tend to suck, IMHO. So negatory on that one, please. I don't want World of Halocraft or Battlefield 2552. Aside from all that, I don't get the "subtle" part of the topic. Where is it? The double-use of "game"... er? "Whatever you want to say about Bungie... you're not gonna find a lot of prospects for a Microsoft-controlled studio that can do a better job with Halo 3. Until official information comes out about the game, however, I suppose it's fair game for articles like this... " |
