No no no. This is how it worked out. 343 was trying to get the Chief "reclaimer" to activate halo. When they ran into Cortana, the Chief is filled in on what Halo really does. So he betrays 343 in order to keep his own life, and that of mankind. He doesn't activate halo, so he is betraying 343. The second betrayal is 343 then getting angery, and getting the sentinals, and trying to kill the cief and purge cortana. Really, if 343 hadn't of used the Chief by beating around the bush to what halo really does, then there wouldn't be any betrayals, and Chief would have made trash of 343.
