In Response To: Re: A new kind of Montage: "The Stalker" by SS22 (synide) : this montage is a homage to the decreased field of view in halo2. sneaking : behind someone like that would rarely happen in halo 1, since you can see : a much wider cone. : not to sound like a dick here, but your montage isnt really : "different" from other montages, it just has a theme to it. when : i think montage, i think skill video. your "skill" shots are the : same as every other montage, just noscopes, and the fact that you are : boasting matchmaking (1v1 no less) as some sort of legit battlegrounds of : skill sucks away from the video's credibility too. that and you used : windows movie maker. : a "new kind of montage" would be a good one. a new kind of montage : would actually be a skill video, with some variety in it. halo2 doesnt : lend itself to much variety, but it can be done. watch "defense" : by pushbak, and youll see what some real editing, along with real quality : footage can produce. Dang, I was going to make a montage too. But I guess I will put it on hold. I need to go back to college to get a BA in Multimedia Production, buy a copy of Final Cut Pro, then quit my job to research a "new kind of montage". Sheesh, come on man, constructive criticism is good, but thats just nit-picking. I agree that most montages are a dime-a-dozen, but I thought this was different than most. It was just a fun little vid for entertainment, not to show off.
