This guy summed up what I was thinking when I was reading the article:

Dave: The fact that both Erik and Mark refer to their "skillfull three shot pistol kills" is all the proof I need to know that I would grow tired of playing Halo 1 with either of them in a little less than 5 matches. The multiplayer field needed to be even to appeal to a broad audience on Xbox Live and that's exactly what Halo 2 did.

I get so tired of people crying because they lost the only weapon they knew how to use. It seems like everytime I get online, I'm learning how to get more kills with a new weapon. I hated the BR at first, but now it's my best friend. I find myself going for the sniper rifle more often, because I really want to learn it better. I try different combos to find out what I like best. My point is that I don't have just one weapon that I'll always fall back to. I have to learn to adapt to any weapon, and adapt my techniques to counter against every weapon. That's what make Halo 2 multiplayer so much fun for me.
