But why don't the enemies shoot you?

I had a version where all the first stage guys shot at you, but it was just way to hard, essentially a screen full of bullets. I think the 2nd stage is the most fun, but getting past the boss is tough for some people, the trick is to move closer to the boss, he'll shoot less.
