In Response To: E3 notes (mnemesis) Yes, Call of Duty on the 360/HDTV looked amazing. Explosions looked spectacular. Smoke hid characters realistically. The amount of on-screen characters and action made you feel like you were really a small drop in a large, splashing bucket. Stubbs looked good. The animations looked very tight, yet a bit jerky (obviously will be immensely polished by the time it's ready to ship). I watched Count Zero play for a bit, and it seemed very smooth and fun. Battlefield 2 looked good, and I've been eager to get my hands on it. The environments look better, and the gameplay seems a bit tighter than the original. Good news for Battlefield fans. Hellgate: London looked interesting. This game was put together by the ex-Blizzard folks who had a hand in Diablo. It's a 1st/3rd person shooter MMO (it was wierd seeing both styles being played extensively right next to each other). You're in London, and, well, a gate to hell busts open. The Unreal 3 Engine demo was the same as last year's, with new eye-catching demonstrations. Things I want to do / see, but haven't yet: Metronome, Rise of Nations (Legends), play the 5 new Halo 2 maps, and re-visit the Sony area (I didn't see anything noteworthy the first time, maybe due to the fact that I was looking for a glimpse of PS3 demos). I am sure there will be more to come in a bit. : Just a couple of things some of you might be interested in: Bungie's got a
