HBO Forum Update... Special Gamestock Edition!

Back once again with the... WEEKLY HBO FORUM UPDATE (on Wednesday because of special Gamestock circumstances and the amazing posting overload that has resulted) Before I begin, I’d like to put a special thanks in for Jack Daniels, whose amazing liquor products make these updates possible. Now, on to the carnage! Try as he might, Maestro did not make it into this week’s Forum Update. Maybe next time, man. Marv asked: “Is it possible to shoot trough doors and walls etc. This would be a really cool feature which is missing in other games.” Can someone get me a screenshot that confirms the existence of “trough walls and doors” in Halo? I’m frightened by this new development-walls and doors that animals will eat out of?!?! Bungie what are you thinking? Damned Microsoft takeover.... corrupting game... making Bungie its bitch... must avenge Matt’s death.... must load grenade launcher with trembling hands.... Yep. Gamestock happened. The resulting posts regarding Gamestock made the list of new posts longer than a live version of Lynryd Skynrd’s Freebird. This made my job much harder. Friggin’ Microsoft assholes... but I digress. The majority of these posts followed one of the following styles: (Disgruntled ex-Bungie fan/MS basher): “Well, I haven’t been following the game anymore, ever since Bungie sold out to Microsoft, so the bitterness that I feel due to my not getting my way entitles me to an opinion on a game I haven’t been following for a long time and don’t plan on buying. Hence, this game sucks, because it (pick one) isn’t real enough/got rid of something I liked. F--k Microsoft.” (Nitpicking tightass): “Well this movie here’s no good. You see, the anti-aliasing components are way out of whack on this frame. And when was the last time you saw lens flares in real life? And what the hell happened to the ‘realistic’ old marine? This new one is vomit-green! What kind of camouflage is that? I don’t see the capabilities of the Geforce 3 reflected in this screenshot either... Well anyway, Bungie Software Incorporated, I really expect more from you guys.” (Blind Follower): (wide-eyed, stuttering, clutching copy of Marathon) “I... love... vomit... green... marine... Bungie... rocks... hands... still... not clean... must wash hands... with steel wool and drain cleaner.... SKY OF KNIVES, THE SKY OF KNIVES IS UPON US!!!” (Dumbass): “FIRST PIRSON SI SUXORS!!!” (Dumbass II): “NO(Me): “Both your moms suck. Simultaneously.” (Intelligent poster): “Well, I think this feature was very well thought, out but the wave effects could use some work... (HA HA just kidding there are no posts like this)” Well there you all are, that will save you all some time. Although if you spend ANY of your time here, you’re probably wasting it anyway. Well, that’s about all for this week’s HBO Forum Update. But before we go, time for this week’s award - the oft-coveted Proof That Certain People/Braindead Monkeys Should Be Denied Acess To A Keyboard While Dropping Acid Award!
