The week in review-HBO forum | |
Posted By: black flag and a red star | Date: 3/1/01 5:47 p.m. |
Hi all. I've decided to summarize the week's activities on our forum in an effort to generate more things to entertain us all. If I get some feedback, I just might do another one. Rules-Updates will be made on Fridays... just like Matt's (excluding this one)! The only difference is that Matt's are important. Well, the trolls attacked our beloved forum en masse this week... causing Louis to flip out and insult one poster by calling him, and I quote, "stupid". This has to be the strongest language I think I've ever heard from Louis, so keep an eye out for more tantrums from The Man in the future. Once again, a release date has been posted, this time 5/29/01. Unfortunately, as Iden pointed out, the X-box copy of Halo will NOT be shipping before the X-box. Good call Iden. An earthquake in Seattle sent the forum into a temporary panic yesterday... but, regrettably, neither Microsoft nor Starbucks nor Fred Durst was destroyed in the cataclysm. Yes, Fred Durst was not in the Seattle area at the time, but I wish him harm regardless. Matt quickly assured us all that he and the Halo team were not alarmed nor disturbed by the apocalyptic disaster raging around them. An unnecessarily long thread regarding Lixtrim's prediction that he would "own" us all when Halo was released and the resulting rebuttals wasted much server space and made us all dumber in the process. Thank you Lixtrim. You may own me at Halo, but I own your mom and she sells for a quarter a night. Some semi-productive discussion was made regarding a Seattle Times picture/news item of the Bungie guys sitting around playing Halo on an X-box. Seattle was then consumed by aforementioned earthquake. Coincidence? I think not. That's about all for this week, but now... time for the stupidest quote of the week! Thanks to the recent abundance of trolls, there's plenty of stupidity to go around. This week's quote comes from FrankRizzo, who says: "P.S. Anyone know how much hard drive space the 23mb Halo movie takes up?" Thank you all and please tell me what you think. If you're offended by anything I've said, go screw yours- I mean I was joking. Just like Eminem does. So it's all good because it's just me being an artist.
