In Response To: PC gaming may be on its way out (Ph.D.) Well, the article has some good points, but PC gaming won't die. Why? It just won't. I know, sounds corny, but it's also true. Just think how many other gaming systems were supposed to be revolutionary (PS2, anyone?) but weren't. Also, about compatibility: although a game for any one console will work perfectly on any machine of that console, they aren't interchangable (eg. Dreamcast to PS2, etc.). So unless one console emerges dominant at some point (which'd be a monopoly, prices would go up, quality might go down), the consoles wouldn't be any more compatible with each other than computers are. Also, too many ppl already have computers for them to just let them go to waste. Just my humble opinion.
