First, I don't really have a problem with Blackey being on the team. One failed project doesn't mean he's an utter failure. (Even though Richard Wyckoff really rakes him over the coals in that Gamasutra postmortem: Blackey was the one who coded the physics.) My main concern is Blackey's track record in hype. When he speaks of his product in such glowing terms, ask yourself this: Is he describing what the X-box is or what the X-box should be?

Second, in regards to Halo, Wyckoff mentioned it once, sort of intimating that it was the engine that the Trespasser team should have had if they wanted to fullfill their design specs. Still working on finding it the Old Man Murray forums, between all the other ones where he was calling spanky a luddite for insisting that Trespasser should have used the Quake engine.
