In Response To: Delta Halo is near Earth *minor SP* (7he grunt w/a plasma pistol)

: I was watching the Delta Halo cutscene where In Amber Clad chases Regret out
: of Slipspace and stumbles across Delta Halo. I happened to glance at the
: planet it was orbiting. This may not matter to many, but to me the planet
: looked like Neptune: http://www.nineplanets.org/neptune.html . Anyone
: want to look into this further?

Well I'm pretty sure that it is a gas planet, like Neptune, but it can't be. I can see no reason a ship would jump to slipspace for that short of a ride (short in space terms), when they can already go much faster than the current space ships. It'd be a waste of supplies and power/energy. We'd make it there in 3/4's the time we would now without jumping to slipspace. Also with the humans having explored the spaces around their known space, I highly doubt they would miss something that close to Earth.
