I can see how leagues might prefer symmetrical maps for some events. Remember, there are some more maps on the way; if some are modeled after H1 maps, you should see some more symmetical ones coming up. : I just hate being on big maps with the smg which only does good at close and
You can set custom gametypes to start with the battle rifle or Covenant carbine as the primary weapon; for league play, it should be trivially easy to reset starting weapons to whatever you wish on any map and gametype. (Heck, there's a custom gametype out there that has everybody carrying around Brute Shots!) So this should be easily fixable. I'm thinking that a lot of the pro complaints can be fixed by going into the Preferences menu and poking around at the options there; not all of them, of course, but enough to make Halo 2 viable as a league game. -- Steve's looking forward to seeing CAL and MLG use Halo 2. That should show us some new and interesting ways to set up custom games. |
