Wow, that sounds very bizarre. Me and my friend had an idea to do something similar and when I got into the funny turret thing down the bottom of the lift shaft, outside, the game froze. Is this a regular occurence? I've had my Xbox and Halo for five months now and just beat the Pillar of Autumn on Heroic, so I don't want the game to go kaput before I beat a level on Legendary.
